Could Weightgain Be Due To Thyroid Issue?

Just had blood tests - my tsh is 3.43 and ft4 is .8 the problem is I have gained much weight not due to eating cakes and ice creams, and can not get the weight off, I have always been in 108-112 range, now 140 all gained in two months time period. I am convinced its due to thyroid issue.

Hi
Thanks for posting
Your ft4 is low and tsh is not appropiately raised. This could be due to stress, any other illness or pituitary disease,a gland located under the brain that regulates thyroid.Exact diagnosis depends on your symptoms. Please cnsult your physician for appropriate checkup. Please review your eating habits and exercise.
