Could Whole Body Rash Be A Reaction To The Shingles Vaccine ?
My husband had a shingles vaccine over three weeks ago, then his mom passed, then he & his brother got food poisoning. Now he had develop a whole body rash, especially on his chest, legs, arms, and all around his arm pits. Is this from stress due to all that happened in last 3 weeks? Reaction to vaccine? Or what?
It is unlikely a reaction to the vaccine since the rash occurred 3 weeks after the vaccine.
Stress can cause a variety of symptoms, it is possible ,then it is a reflection of a stressful event.
There are other causes of generalised rash such as reaction to medication, viral infection (may be related to the viral gastroenteritis ), liver disease, side effect of medication, dermatitis, lichen planus.
If the rash does not resolve then he may need to see his doctor.
I hope this helps
