Hi, There are some causes of these symptoms: 1. premenstrual syndrome and you also usually get it before periods. The symptoms should disappear after periods. 2. pregnancy and threatened abortion : though less likely as you have been cramping since 3 weeks. The test usually comes positive 7 days after the missed period and must preferably be done with the morning sample of urine. If it is negative, a blood test [serum beta HCG ] is more sensitive in detecting pregnancy. other reasons may be an endometrial polyp but are usually associated with heavy bleeding. I suggest you get a urine test done 7-10 days after the missed period. If it is negative, wait for another 7 days for periods. If still no periods or cramps increase, get an ultrasound examination. Meanwhile do daily exercise: abdominal crunches and morning walks. If the pain is severe use a simple paracetamol or meftal spas to relieve the pain. Hope this is helpful. Have a nice day.
