Cramping, Spotting, Loss Of Appetite, Nausea After Doing Hsg. Normal?

Had hsg done on Wednesday, had cramping the day of , little spotting. Next day felt queasy and bloated, that evening felt really nauseous and was on my way to get tums and power puked before I could get them. That was the only time I vomited but haven't felt right since and no appetite. Is this normal after having a hsg done?

Hi,
Cramping is common after an HSG and some spotting may also occur. These usually disappear in a few days. Some women are sensitive to the dye and may have a rash or itching. If there is persistent pain and fever, infection needs to be ruled out.
If you are not having any pain and vomiting now, you should be fine.
Try to eat some citrus fruits like oranges ans lemon juice and tomato soup to boost the appetite. Some over the counter B complex vitamin preparations also help if taken twice daily.

Don't worry you will be fine in a day or two.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
