Crohns Disease Patient, Have Abscessing With Sinus Tracts In Rectal Vaginal Septum, Require Drainage. What To Do ?

Hi Dr., I have had crohns disease since 2000 and abscessing with sinus tracts in my rectal vaginal septum for the last 6 yrs or so that has been diagnosed as related to my crohns. I currently have a temp. ileostomy to rest the area as I keep abscessing and require constant drainage. I have only had a fistula once when seton was placed to help with drainage. I took remicade and now on humira. The only thing helping me right now is IV antibiotic. Is it possible that I could have both and that it could be Hidradentitis suppurativa causing my abscess problems in my rectal vaginal septum as my brother just got diagnosed with it? I know seeing a dermatologist is what I should do but was wondering if it's worth bringing up?

Hello.Hidradenitis suppurativa is a pathology of the sweat glands and is not the cause of the abscesses and sinus tract.Abscesses with sinus tracts in rectal vaginal septum,is a very frequent complication of Crohn's Disease.
Received treatment with biological therapy (adalimumab / infliximab), iv antibiotics and drainage ,is correct.
Consequently, I think is not necessary to go a dermatologist.
I wish you good health
