Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My boyfriend told me that the reason we haven't had sex yet is because one night he was drunk wrestling and he got pushed down and somehow got a cut on his penis. He says it looked stupid and he doesn't think it's an STI, but he wants to be sure first that it isn't before we sleep together.
Could that cut be an STI? Or is it just a regular cut?
SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE OCCURS ONLY WHEN A PERSON IS PHYSICALLY INVOLVED WITH THE OTHER EITHER HAVING DIRECT SEX OR ORAL SEX WITH THE PERSON INFECTED. SO IF YOUR BOYFRIEND DOES NOT HAD A PHYSICAL RELATION WITH OTHER PERSON THEN IT IS MORE OF A REGULAR CUT DUE TO FALL OR BLUNT INJURY SINCE HE WAS DRUNK. IF HE IS NOT SURE ABOUT BEING PHYSICALLY INVOLVED WITH ANY OTHER PERSON WHEN HE WAS DRUNK THEN BETTER TO CONSULT A DERMATOLOGIST.
