Cyst On Chest, Removed. On Antibiotics. Why Do I Have A Scar? Is It Keloid?
Hello! I had a cyst removed from my chest some months back and i did not have the stitch removed and i didnt even follow my antibiotics as directed. After a while a big rough scar has appeared on the operated area. Now, I have a new cyst on the side of my right eye and my doctor says that if I get it operated then I will have a big scar again like the one on my chest. He says its keloid but I think the scar became ugly because of my carelessness. Please advice.

I support your doctors diagnosis of the scar of your chest as keloid.
There are few clinical reasons to support the diagnosis.
1. The scar is not healing and incresed in size
2. The location of scar: keloid is mostly found on chest area of body.
As far as cyst on side of eye is concerned, I dont think you will get this keloid like scar on face !! So dont worry and remove the cyst, if its bothering you.
