Dark Complexion, Dark Around Eyes, Lips, Naso Labial Folds. Applied Creams. Treatment To Improve Complexion?
Hello sir, I am a 21 year old female. I have a dark complexion. Especially around eyes, lips and the naso labial folds. I have tried eating fresh fruits and vegetables and also tried external applications like fairness creams. There s no improvement. I do not hav acne problem. Is there any medical treatment- lotions/tablets to improve complexion
It is a very common problem faced by young patients with darkness around eyes, mouth and nose. Commonly this is seen in association with atopic dermatitis. These periorificial pigmentation is a sign of atopic diathesis. I would suggest you to apply a good moisturizing cream and a mild topical steroid like clobetasone ( not clobetasol) twice weekly. Also you can try topical tacrolimus cream (0.03%) at night time twice weekly.
