Dark Mark Around Mouth After Licking Lips At A Younger Age. What Are The Natural Treatments Which Will Help Me?
hi I used to lick my lips around my mouth a lot when I was younger and I stopped but I still have a dark mark around my mouth. the doctors said it would fade but it hasn't and its quite unsightly. are there any natural treatments that I could use on my face to remove/ lighten this mark? I tried lemon juice but it didn't seem to do much thanks
Hi, Lip color is basically dependent upon the activity of melanocytes- the color producing cells of skin. This is genetically determined and varies form person to person accordingly. in yourself because of licking around mouth it cause pigmentation.
The most important thing is healthy diet containing lot of Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Do not try applying over the counter products as these can further aggravate the situation. Protect yourself form direct sunlight.
Use a good sunscreen on lips for 2-3 times and drink plenty of liquids everyday.
