Darkness In Right Eye. Multiple Avastine Injections Given. OCT Test Done. White Vision But No Light Seen. Treatment Options?
Since march 2011, my mother feel darkness problem in right eye . so we have checked in XXXXXX. doctor has done o.c.t. test and injection was given avastine . After one month (April month) again o.c.t. test was done at XXXXXX eye hospital and given again avastine injection . and some improvement has found. Then again after one month o.c.t. test was done in XXXXX eye hospital. so the darkness vision convert into white vision but no light was seen. Kindly suggest further treatment for this case.

oct and monthly injection of avastine points to diagnosis of armd.
armd is age related macular degeneration..usually occurs in old age.armd are of two types-dry and wet types. injection avastine is given for wet type of armd.
in armd the macular region is affected which is the principle site of retina for vision.
for armd lots of treatment options have come but varies according the case.
depending on her flurosein angiography and oct report you can come to conclusion as what treatment option can be offered to a patient.so i suggest the ophthalmologist whose lookong after the patient is the best judge.u can update the reports of ffa and oct then i will be able to help you better.
