Delayed Period. Period Pain. Is It Stress Related?

Hi, my name is Jessica. I am 18 years old, and a virgin . I haven t had any sexual experience whatsoever. I have a very steady period since I was 13. It always last the 4 days, and the symptoms are usual but very small. I was supposed to get my last period around a couple days ago, but haven t got it. I feel like I have my period, but there is no blood . I am a little nervous because this has never happened before. I researched this and the research said that is normal and could be stress related. I am under stress, but its the same amount of stress as the year and a half, and during that time I was fine.

Hello,
In the absence of pregnancy the most common cause for delay in periods is stress and anxiety as you rightly pointed out but there are other non medical causes like being overweight or underweight, doing excessive exercises, after a illness or due to taking some medicines etc.
Medical reasons could include hormonal imbalance like poly cystic ovaries and other problem like hypothyroidism.
Just wait for a week more and if you still don't get it,you must consult your doctor and subject yourself for physical examination and relevant investigations.
Once the cause is found, the treatment can be instituted which shall bring your normal periods back.
Thanks
