Delayed Period, Small Stomach Cramps, Blood Is Very Light. What Is The Cause?

My Name is Nadia, Me and my husband are trying to get pregnant for 3 years now.
My 1st day of my last period was 29 December 2013 and my cycle are 28 days.
On Monday the 20th January I spotted a little bit of brown blood when i go to the toilet, but not enough to use a pad for.
I was suppose to start with my next period on the 26 of January, but instead I started today, it is not a heavy period, but it is there and the blood is very light of color (reddish) not like always.
I had little cramps on my stomach on Monday and Wednesday, but then it was gone, now I am starting to get them again, but it are not painful.
Can you tell me what might be the cause of all this?
