Delayed Periods. Taken Martinor Tablet, Still No Periods. Any Ideas?

Hi Doctor,

I am unmarried and my period got delayed for 10 days, i consulted doctor and given martinor tablet to use for getting period, and also informed me that i can expect my period within 5 days of usng this tablet.But still i didn't get my period.Can help me out what is the reason for not getting the period after using the tablets for 5 days.
