Delayed Periods, Taking Regestrone. Still Dint Get Periods. Is It Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, My last month period date is 14th Sept. I didn t get period till 21st of this month so my doctor adviced to have regestrone 5mg 2 tab mrng and 2 at night for 3 days.(After pregnancy test is -ve) I have started taking dose from tuesday mrng till thursday night.. Today is 30th oct tillnow i didn t get my periods.. Am i pregnant?

Regesterone use induces menses within 10 days of stopping the tablet.

In your case since you did not menstruate the first possibility can be pregnancy. But your urine test is negative so it excludes pregnancy to great extent.

You need to get an ultrasound to rule out other causes of delayed periods like ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian disease or any pelvic inflammatory disease.

Ectopic pregnancy can also be one possibility.

So do get an ultrasound.
