Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

I would like to start by saying that a woman's body undergoes many changes during pregnancy, especially the reproductive system. The female body then takes some time to return back to its pre-partum state (state before pregnancy), this takes over a period of time ranging from 2-6 weeks. Which is why it is not advised to indulge in sexual intercourse for at least 3-6 weeks after delivery. But it is safe to indulge in sexual intercourse after this.

As 3 months have lapsed and you are experiencing these symptoms the possibilities are the following:
-Your body is still getting used to the changes that took place during pregnancy and is still in the recovery stage due to which you are experiencing the pain and bleed
-These could also be linked to an infection, for your reference I shall list other symptoms of an infection as well:
-Burning sensation while urinating
-Frequent urination
-Increased urge to urinate, but less amount of urine passed
-Chills
-Fever
-Lower abdominal and/or flank region pain
-Itching around the genitals
-Blood in urine or immediately after (not always seen)

I would request you to report to a doctor either way and get your urine examined, which will confirm/rule out and infection, and your doctor can direct you towards a healthy lifestyle accordingly.

In the meantime, it would be best to abstain from sexual intercourse just until you meet your doctor and he/she says it is fine to continue with sexual intercourse. Also, make sure you drink plenty of fluids and keep your genitalia clean and dry.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
