sir i gave birth to a female baby vaginal delivery with no complications (in 35-36 weeks),i was having B.P(150/100,160/100).doctor advised me to take nifidipine nd labetol.after delivery also my B.P is 140/80,130/80. why my b.p is not in control earlier i dont have this problem and my parents too dont have this problem.i was having b.p in the 8th month.
Hello Sometimes when high blood pressure develops during pregnancy, it persists even after delivery. There is not much you can do. You can start by reducing the salt intake in your diet and reduce your weight with regular exercise. If that helps then its fine but if it doesnt, then you may have to take lifelong medication. However, from the values that you have mentioned, your bp seems ok. Sometimes systolic pressure(the top part) may be a little high without any serious consequences. Hoping the best for you
