Hello ma'am.

The currently advised injections do have a rare side effect of depression, but this is usually associated with the more commonly seen side effect of weight gain which you are experiencing. There are many options available and you can easily substitute the current prescription with other medications. Do speak to your doctor about the same.

Wishing you the best. Hope this helps.

Take care.
