Hi

Your mother has few Medical problems Obesity,Hypertension,Diabetes,Dyslipidemia and High uric acid Level (Hyperuricemia) as she is advised Zyloric.

These are lifestyle diseases and drugs advised seems to be perfectly alright but they need periodic checkup and biochemistry in lab which should be in permissible limits.

She should take regular walking exercises and take care of diet to reduce weight .

Check FBS,PPBS,Creatinine,Uric Acid and Lipid Profile also check HBA1c every 3 months.

Non veg diet should be curtailed reduce saturated fats,Walking should be at least 3-4 km per day

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Your mother is 56 years old and using ZYLORIC100mg, ROSUVAT10mg, TELISTA-AM, GLYCOFEZ G1. so long and she is comfertable.
Whether a drug is appropriate or not depends upon whether the patient is comfertable with it or not. So the drugs are appropriate to your mother. What is left is maintenance. You should take her to the doctor periodically once every 1 or 2 months to have sugar and BP checked. Due to age and relative kidney and liver functions one may need alteration of dose or the drug may be necesory that you doctor will decide after examination.
Besides i advise her some diet recomendations as avoid taking more of salt, sugar, sweets, and fruits, junk foods, and oily foods.
Take more of green leafy vegetables , pulses, sprouts, egg, milk, meat, and dry fruits. Wishing for a continuing health to her and thanks for calling.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Mayank Bhargava's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Kindly mention your full query, you have not mentioned her vitals like her blood sugar status, blood pressure status, present LDL & cholesterol status.
She appears to be overweight. with her Basal metabolic rate (BMI) 30.4
Her blood pressure must be 130/85 mm Hg considering her age and associated disease like diabetes.
Her LDL must be below 100 and best is 70.
Her cholesterol & triglycerides must be below 150.
Her serum uric acid should be below 6.0 with restriction of tomatoes, brinjal, spinach, mushroom , non-veg, less cereals, and take 1-1/2 liter water daily.
She should regularly go for blood sugar monitoring with both fasting and postprandial.
Her blood sugar remain in control range with fasting
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
