Diabetes,prescribed Glimisave M1,substituted With Amaryl.are The Two Same ?

Hi Doctor, My Husband has diabetes , he has been prescribed Glimisave m1, but we dint get this in the pharmacy, but we got Amaryl 1 mg, Glimepiride (@ Dubai). Are these 2 same? Can he start having Amaryl 1 mg. Your suggestion will be very valuable . Thanks in advance

Glimisave m1 CONTAINS GLIMEPIRIDE & METFORMIN HCL(ER), WHERE AS AMARYL CONTAINS ONLY GLIMIPIRIDE.

GLIMISAVE M1 MG CONTAINS COMBINATION OF METFORMIN AND GLIMEPERIDE 1 MG

AMARYL 1 MG CONTAINS ONLY GLIMEPERIDE 1 MG

THERE IS LOT OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO, ASK FOR THE COMBINATION OF THE ABOVE.
