Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

The bloating and discomfort may be due to the drug. Having with food reduce this problem.
And with the current medication you are not controlled since minimum of 3 months. Since you are on morning dose of Gluformin G1 you need to add another drug with proper diet and exercises. Consult your doctor to optimize your diet according to your work and weight and to modify the drug regimen. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you want any further information on your diabetes management. Wish you good health.

Take care.

Regards
Dr.Lohit

General & Family Physician Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Your reports suggest you are having uncontrolled diabetes.
It is very important for you to achieve a meticulous control of your blood sugar levels if you want to avoid future micro as well as macro vascular complications.
High blood sugar levels cause damage to all most all organs of body like heart, kidneys, eyes, nerves, blood vessels etc.
Along with blood sugar, you must also keep a control of your blood pressure as well as serum cholesterol levels.
Along with medications, equal emphasis must be laid on proper dietary control and doing regular aerobic exercises for at least 45 minutes a day.
Although many medicines can be prescribed to you online but it would be injustice to you, since you require a through check up and evaluation by a internal medicine specialist or a diabetologist so that a proper and comprehensive treatment plan can be envisaged for you.
I hope it helps.
Thanks

DEAR SIR/MADAM

DO NOT DOUBLE THE CURRENT MEDICATION DOSAGE BUT INSTEAD YOU CAN SWITCH TO METFORMIN 1000 MG + GLIMIPERIDE 1 MG COMBINATION.

IT WILL EFFECTIVELY BUT YOU WILL CERTAINLY EXPERIENCE SOME OF THE GASTRO INTESTINAL SIDE EFFECTS OF METFORMIN WHICH YOU ARE ALREAD DOING. SO IDEAL WILL BE

CONTROLS FASTING SUGARS, THEN ADD ONE PRANDIAL REGULATOR LIKE VOGLIBOSE OR ACARBOSE. IT WILL HELP TO CONTROL POST PRANDIAL SUGARS.

THANKS

Diabetologist Dr. Pratap VGM's  Response
DEAR SIR/MADAM

WELCOME TO HEALTH CARE MAGIC.

USUALLY THE BLOATED SENSATION WITH FLATULANCE IS CAUSED BY METFORMIN, IT IS ENCOUNTERED WITH THE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS.

IT WILL NOT BE WISE TO START PRANDIAL REGULATORS SUCH AS ACARBOSE, VOGLIBOSE AND MIGLITOL.

SO STOP METFORMIN OR REDUCE THE DOSAGE OF METFORMIN, INCREASE THE DOSAGE OF GLIMEPERIDE TO 2 MG AND LOOK FOR THE RESPONSE, REVIEW.

THANKS
