Diagnosed Oral Infection, On Amoxicillin. Recurred Cough, Chills, Feeling Of Floating, Stabbing Sensation In Lower Lung. History Of Acute Bronchitis. Help

Hello,

I was diagnosed with acute bronchitis 2 weeks ago and hospitalized with antibiotics for 6 days. My lungs cleared enough for me to be released. The following week, I was diagnosed by my dentist with an oral infection. I am on amoxicillin for that, currently. The coughing just started back up again to day and I started having chills last night. However, I took my temp and it 98.9. I feel like I'm walking around on a different planet right now. I noticed last night that after I ate even something very small, my right lower lung/rib felt a stabbing sensation. The pain lasts for long periods of time after I eat. I get no relief from position change, I tried burping and felt no relief. I just don't know if I should go back to the ER.

Hi,

You are saying that have been on antibiotics for 6 days 2 weeks ago and are on amoxicillin (another antibiotic) currently and are still experiencing coughing?

Now, the use of antibiotics (especially of wide spectrum such as amoxicillin) are often associated with intestinal tract candidosis (with symptoms such as feeling full when eaten something small).

You can go back to ER and/or talk to your personal doctor about a possible candida infection of your Gastrointestinal tract to get the appropriate treatment with antifungals.

Next, you are saying that are experiencing cough and chillds again although having used antibiotics - That could be explained that your acute bronchitis has been caused by a virus and not a bacteria. Therefore, you can talk to your doctor to start an anti-viral drug therapy if that is most suitable to you as your doctor has your medical data, the one that we lack.

I could only suggest to drink plenty of juices (water, fruit juices, teas) to overcome your current health problems and to follow your personal doctor advice accurately.

Hope it helped!
