Diagnosed With ADHD And High Functioning Austism. On D Amphetamine. Having Periods Of Aggression. Any Suggestions

My grandson who lives with us a good bit of the time has been diagnosed with ADHD and High
functioning Austism. He's 6 years old an weighs 42lbs. Has gained no weight in a years time. He is on
D-amphetamine ER 10 mg 1xd. Since increased dose last year his K teacher and we have noticed a
period of aggression or anger in the afternoon. In first grade now he has been suspended from school
2x for punching a child in the face after being agravated by them. Our meeting with the school last week ended
with his teacher just wanting to go to another school. He is a very loving child but seems to have a hard time in the afternoon and coming off the meds.in the evening. Any suggestions? His dad has ADHD and his mothers side of family suffer from Mental disorders. My son is adopted and I cannot get medical history from his birthmother?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really understand the problem you have with the kid, all the functional cases or psychological problem related cases are gene mutation related cases and very uncertain to predict and some time the symptoms vanishes it self without unnoticed, t think the same thing may happen with the child, just wait for right time, you need to learn how to deal with such kid, have nice day.
