My mother also have LP since last 15 years it comes and go by, according to her experience she has used various steroids creams but they are just good for a while. Now she just applies VASELINE and it makes better, and she advices me as well to simply use vaseline rather than other potential creams, please suggest .. And now i can feel some sores just began inside my upper lip, what you i apply there.Thanks.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic For Lichen planus you need topical steroid or immuno modulators. Vaseline will not cure it, but vaseline will increase action of steroids and can be used for maintaining relapse. I would recommend you to take the treatment prescribed by your dermatologist. Lesions over lips also could be lichen planus. Kindly review with your dermatologist for confirmation. You will need another preparation of steroid for application over the lips. Hope this helped. Take care.
