Hello, Adenomyosis is a condition where inner wall of uterus called as myometrium, breaks through the muscles of uterus. It results in severe abdominal cramps before periods and heavy menstrual bleeding. Treatment of adenomyosis depends upon the the symptoms, their severety and whether you have completed your family. Treatment involves pain killers, hormone therapy, uterine artery embolisation and endometrial ablation. But if your symptoms are not controlled, then surgical removal of uterus is the best answer as this condition really troubles the person very much, although tjis condition is benign and non life threatening, Discuss with your doctor about it. Thanks
