Diagnosed With Bronchitis. Using Inhaler Every Four Hours With Mucinex And Tylenol. Any Home Remedy?

I went to to ER 2 weeks ago because I couldn't breathe and was diagnosed with bronchitis. They gave me an antibiotic and steroids. It cleared it all up, but now (just a few days after I finished my prescriptions) I'm beginning to have the breathing trouble again today. I'm using my inhaler every 4 hours like it says, and I'm taking a mucinex type of medicine + tylenol. Is there anything else I can do at home to help so I wont have to spend money at the doctor again?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M.Forum.
You were using antibiotics +steroids and got relief , symptoms recurs .
May be a case of asthmatic allergic bronchitis , as whistling sound during breathing , running nose , breathlessness all are characteristic features of asthmatic allergic bronchitis.
Avoidance of mite , dust , pollen , hay , fine dusting powder all help.
As all these symptoms are due to bronchoconstriction caused by allergen.
In my opinion you can use antihistamine+ bronchodilator .
Coffee also act as bronchodilator.
Consult an another physician and take proper treatment as in my patient I did't advise steroids in ordinary cases.
