Diagnosed With High BP. Taking Attacand Helped And Added Clonidine. Have Forgotten To Take Pill. Any Risk?
I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I started on atacand 8mg once a day for one wk. It really helped. Then my Dr. added Clonidine 0.1 mg twice a day. My pressure was l65/110-116. It came down very quickly to this morning 129/79. I think I forgot to take a pill tonight? My pressure is 155/110...should I take a pill now or wait til morning? Wonder if I did take one should I still take one and risk taking 2?
If the dose is forgotten, it is taken when you become aware... Take it now... Taking an additional/second dose is not risky \ especially at this level of pressure...
Tablet boxes with day and time can help to avoid future episodes like this...
Clonidine is not the usual choice in most cases – the treating doctor may suggest based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
