Diagnosed With High SGPT And SGOT. Discomfort In Abdominal Area. Suggestions?
hello sir i was diagnosed with high sgot and sgpt i think it was because of high olchohol intake dr prescribed me to take udiliv 300 for 30 days but i didnt complete the course n started drinking again now 1 fell little discomfort n pain on the right side of my upper abdominal now its been 15 days ihv started the medicine again but feel very mild change and now im also taking some bodybuilding supplements what to do plz tell me
Hi thanks for your question. Alcohol intake can cause damage to the liver resulting in increase in the liver enzymes. Increased SGPT and SGOT indicate damage to the liver. You have not mentioned anything about your ultra sound report in this question, which was also necessary to comment upon you liver status. Continue medicine as prescribed to you by your Doctor and avoid Alcohol intake, at least till you liver enzymes returns to normal. The abdominal discomfort you mentioning could be due to enlarged liver secondary to hepatitis. Till your liver enzymes comes to base line stop taking body building drugs Hope this answers your questioner
