Diagnosed With Hyperthyroidism. Methmazole Prescribed. Radioactive Iodine Treatment Done. Nausea, Vomiting And Anxiety. Need Medication?

a couple years ago i was diagnois with hypertyuriodism and was put on methmazole after two years the doctor 3 weeks ago i had that radioactive idione treatmenat done and couple months before that my aniexity level has spun out of control so my family doctor has put me on xanex for that just three days ago he put me on zoloft but i have been nausous and vommiting aniexity is worse would this have anything to do with the radioactive treatment i had done ,please ehlp i dont know if i should go to the hospital i have been there 3 thimes and they say its anexity feel horrible could this all be from my thyriod or should i really be taking the zoloft

Hi

There is often a transient hyperthyroidism after Radioactive iodine therapy. For your anxiety and other symptoms I would treat you with a Beta blocker which would help treat the symptoms. Nausea and vomiting after Radioactive iodine is not unusual
