Diagnosed With Low Platelets, Enlarged Spleen. Pain In Thigh Muscles , Cant Walk. Taking Panadol. Any Suggestion?
I have recently been diagnosed with low platelets and an enlarged spleen. My specialist took some bone marrow and as I had been having some muscle pain I stopped taking my Lipex tablet. During the night I could not turn over as my thigh muscle was very painful. I have taken some Panadol but the pain has returned so much so that I cannot walk properly. Have you any answers?
Hi and thanks for the query, Low platelets and large spleen deserves a careful evaluation and assessment of the blood system function. The role of the spleen is to destroy worn out red blood cells, and platelets, store small quantities of blood and has a small immune function. Blood cancers and malignancies could present as such. some parasitic infections could also do present as such. It is advisable to get the child consulted by a hematologist especially under such circumstances. Thanks and kind regards
