Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties to become pregnant and the varicocele your husband has. Your desperation is real and understandable. Most women in your position would feel same.

From the informtion you have provided, your greatest suspicion is that your husband may be the problem with this difficulty getting pregnant. It makes some sense because he at least has a varicocele that may make such likely. However, varicocele in most cases don't result in infertility and treatment is often not needed.

My advice is that he gets a semen analysis. From the results, the quantity and quality of sperms would give us more information as to who could have been the possible cause for this. if it is him, then measures to address and correct his varicocele would be pursued. If something else is the matter, then treatment would be made accordingly.

I hope this helps and provides guidance on how to continue with this. I wish you both success in identifying and correcting your problem so as to achieve your heart's desire. Please, feel free to ask me more questions if need be and I would gladly respond to them

Hello ma'am.

Treatment of varicocele is quite simple and surgery is considered quite effective. I would advice you to revisit your doctor for effective treatment options like:
-Laparoscopic surgery
-Open surgery
-Percutaneous embolization

Surgery is always the best option and if you are hoping to conceive soon, then this should be considered.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
