Hello, thanks for your help.
I was diagnosed 2 months ago with postural orthostatic tachycardia, which means my heart rates tends to increase usually 60 beats per minute when I stand up and it increases the longer I stay standing. It makes me light headed when my blood pressure drops at the same time. If my heart rate was 95 sitting down, it will go to 155+ when I stand up. It's frustrating to know that my heart rate does this constantly throughout the day and people don't understand it's a very exhausting and annoying thing to live with. And because it's a harmless condition, my doctor hasn't given me any treatment.
I have been feeling very tired recently, and when I come home from university, I'm too exhausted to study. I'm usually very enthusiastic about studying and it's making me feel disappointed in myself that I'm not doing enough work and falling behind in demanding subjects. My question is, do you think my tiredness is caused by the orthostatic tachycardia? And what can I do about it when it's impacting my academic achievement?
