Diagnosed With Prostatitis, Have Blood In Urine. Good Treatment For The Condition?

In the past I have been diagnosed with Prostatitis - nonbacterial - chonic symptoms. I was essentially told that there was not a good treatment. So I have just lived with the symptoms. Over time I have developed blood in the semen and now i have blood in the urine. I note that these developing symtoms do not change the diagnoses. Over time have they developed any good treatment for my condition?

Please understand that this condition is very commonly encountered by all health professionals and very easily dealt with in today's advanced medical world. Enlargement of the prostate is commonly seen in men above the age of 50 years.

In today's world, when an individual is diagnosed with an enlarged prostate without serious/chronic symptoms, the first line of management are medications to help reduce symptoms and to a certain extent even size of the prostate. But, in an individual unresponsive to medication or in one who as serious/chronic symptoms a small procedure called TURP (transurethral resection of prostate) is suggested. This is a day-care procedure, which means, it can be conducted in the morning and the patient can even be discharged the same day, although it would be better to stay hospitalized till the catheter (which will be inserted during the procedure) can be removed, patient can be mobilized and can urinate on their own. Recovery time for this procedure is between 3-7 days.

This procedure hardly carries any risk and is very simple to perform also. Please do not live with this condition or in denial, as you can easily be cured for the same. Once the procedure is done, your prostate be the size it was at least 15-20 years ago, at the least.
