Diagnosed With Strep C Infection Through Smear Test

Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with a strep c infection after a routine smear test. I now have a very sore tip of tongue with white blob and tonight my right arm pit is swollen and very sore..... Is this all connected or different things? I feel very tired and fatigued and feverish.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Group c streptococci known to cause necrotising infection Also...
So proper antibiotic therapy according to your culture report necessary...

Here your arm pit swelling can be by swollen lymph nodes...as a result of bacteremia ...

In infections tongue can be sore and coated as a part of infection...
If you are already taken any antibiotic then it can lead tongue soreness....

Avoid excess spicy foods....

Salt water gargles done ...

Maintain oral hygiene and drunk more water...

Consult physician for examination as it is necessary in your case ....

Take care
