Diagnosed With Typhoid, Platelets Are Falling. What Could Be The Reason?

Hi my husband has been diagnosed with typhoid .. He is in hospital .. After 5 days of high fever , his fever has come down on the 6th day .. But even after that his platlets are falling .. Wht could be the reason for the same .. When will it get cured ?

Hi,
If platelets are falling the most probable cause could either be dengue or marrow suppression caused by antibiotics provided all other cell lines are also reduced.
