Diarrhoea, Vomitting, Stomach And Abdominal Pain. Diagnosed With Chronic Appendicitis. Get Appendix Removed?
I have had diahreah and thrown up once already and have both stomach pain and right abdominal pain . I have had the abdominal pain for almost 2 weeks not and when I went to the doctor they discovered a cyst had ruptured but also said I could have chronic appendicicitus... should i call my doctor to have my appendix removed?
If your doctor suspects that there may be an infection of your appendix, it would be best to have it removed. Normally removing an infected appendix is a simple procedure that does not require prolonged hospital stay.
If the appendix ruptures then the possibility of complications increases.
The diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain may or may not be related to the infected appendix but it would be best to be reassessed to make sure.
I hope this helps
