Did A Neck Ultrasound, Have Lymph Nodes In The Salivary Gland. Feel Fatigue, Tremors. Have Sjogrens?

I have just had a neck ultrasound, which showed normal thyroid, but a few subcentimetre reactive lymph nodes in the right submandibular salivary gland were noted. I have an underactive thyroid, low vit d, aneamia and symptons dry eyes mouth,fatigue, twitches, tremors, sweats. Iam 52 with fibromyagia,hypermobility syndrome, acid reflux gastritis,ibs etc. shcirmers tested negative. Could I still have sjogrens ?

Hi and thanks for the query,
The diagnosis of Sjrogren s syndrome is a histoligic diagnosis. This means that tissue has to be removed and sent to the pathologist for analysis first. You actually lack the classical signs and symptoms of this disease. Dryness of the mucosa, lack of saliva, reduced tearing are very important signs and symptoms needed with the general sings in the joints muscles and general altered health state to make a real suspicion.
I suggest you consult your rheumatologist for a critical clinical evaluation, blood testing and a histologic exam (biopsy) of the salivary glands if need be.
