Difficulty In Sleeping, Eating Veggies, Proteins, Low Fat, Lots Of Water. Lost Weight. What Is Missing?

I keep waking up at 3amand have had difficulty sleeping for almost a month. Up until a week ago, my diet was high in veggies and carbs low in protein/fat. Ive been worling out a lot the last 1.5 mos and drink a lot of water. Also coffee and alcohol drinker, I've ceased both of those and they seem to helped with other nutrient diluting symptoms but still feel off - how I feel very much seems to relate to what I'm eating. Now my body only wants protein. I've lost 10lbs in 2 weeks with no exercise. Any ideas what hormone or mineral or vitamin may be off?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

You need to include all components of a balanced diet in your daily food intake. Eliminating proteins can cause deficiency states and can be damaging to your health. Little amount of fat is also necessary for the body to function properly.
I suggest that along with a fitness plan, you also discuss a proper diet plan with a nutritionist.

Hope this helps
