Difficulty In Swallowing Food And Sternum Pain After Taking Doxycycline Pill. Should I Meet Doctor?
I swallowed doxycycline pill Wednesday night and ever since then it feels like it didnt go through all the way. My sternum hurts when i breathe. It hurts to swallow food or water. Its very uncomfortable all the time and i don't know what to do. Whenever i swallow water or food now it feels painful and feels like its going down super slow. Should i go to the doctor??

It might be necessary to stop the drug immediately, in case you are very sure it was actually only due to doxycycline. Your doctor could either prescribe a substitute for the drug, or could add a drug to protect your stomach depending on a clinical assessment. IN case you felt very uneasy with the drug, stop it and for sure, see your doctor. Kind regards
