Difficulty Standing On Foot With History Of Pain In Knees And Uneven Pelvis Due To Sliding A Couch With Legs. Any Thoughts?
I slid a couch with my leg last year on a hardwood floor (nothing strenuous). I went to me knees i pain and couldn't stand up. Got into the chiro later that day. 3- 4 weeks of 2-3 times a week of adjustments. My pelvis was uneven, could not stand up straight or go from standing to sitting without tremendous pain. I am a 42 year d teacher. I run, elliptical, etc 4 days a week most weeks. Fast for award a year. I slowly recovered Nd got back to a careful, more tender normal. Today I bent over to get my leg in my pants and wham- I couldn't stand up again. Please help. X rays showed nothing major but my chiro warned me if his happened again it would be surgery
HI. Quite a common accident with uncommon presentations and difficult to diagnose and treat too. The history leads me to find a cause in the disc of vertebral column if the x-ray/s ( please mention which areas have been x-ray) is/ are normal. An MRI would certainly help to diagnose after consultation with an Orthopedic Surgeon. Till then strict bed rest , as there would have been further damage caused by your movement. Please come back to us with reports and results if you feel so . Wish you a speedy recovery .
