Diffused Axanol Injury Of Brain Due To Accident, Cured With Treatment. Is Levipil 500 Right Medication?
I am from bangalore.My husband met with an accideny on 8th of sept.He had diffuse axanol injury of brain .He was unconcious for 22 day. now he is ok, but always asking for better treatment. does it has any best dreatment,regarding this we are giving hinm levipil 500,and how long it will take to get the memory back.

I am glad to note that your husband has made an excellent recovery after being involved in a severe accident (after remaining unconscious for more than 3 weeks).
Memory impairment and other cognitive impairment is common after severe head injury. Levipil (levetiracetam) is not used for brain recovery, but it is given to prevent fits.
At bangalore, you could take him to NIMHANS, for evaluation by a neuro-psychologist. Further treatment can be suggested by them to enhance the memory.
