Hello there I had a MRI scan done and the results confirmed I have a broad based disc protrusion at L5/S1 with disc dehydration also a minor narrowing of the exit foramina bilaterally but no direct nerve root impingement or compression I have started having a little leakage from underneath not lots but enough to make my underwear wet
hi
your mri report suggests you have mild to moderate disc herniation
but fecal incontinence is a dangerous sign of disc herniation
fecal incontinence means nerve impringement of s1 and below leading to cauda equina syndrome
you should rush to ER
get steroids so that pressure on nerve decreases
mri reports do not necessary correlate with patients symptoms
take care go to neurologist
