Discomfort Due To Constipation. No Relief With Dulolax. Passing Little Bowel. Remedy?

My husband is feeling discomfort because he says he is constipated, that nothing will come out. He took a dulolax about an hour ago and says nothing is changing. Said it felt like it would but it did not happen. Said he had a little bowel earlier today, but it was really uncomfortable and hard little balls, but only a little. He is not in pain, just knows he is full and it won't pass. Says its too hard. He has been drinking a lot of water this afternoon, but tends to grab a cheese stick for snacks.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
If the dulcolax is not useful, let him take Pcactoclyss enema which will cause motion immediately within 10-15 minutes.
Then he should eat more of fiber containing foods and drink plenty of water to prevent recurrence
Eat plenty of green vegetables and fruits.
High residue diets like whole wheat flour
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
