Discs In The Jaws Are Gone With Severe Pain In Head And Shoulders After The TMJ Surgery

I had tmj surgery on both jaws 16 years ago. The tmj has come back full force. The disc are gone in my jaws and I am hitting bone to bone. I have been in severe pain effecting my head and shoulders. Do you know a doctor that can build me some new joints and line my teeth back in place. I live in Nashville, Tennessee and I have health spring insurance.

Hello there,
Welcome to HCM,

I understand your problem , as the TMJ joint plays important role in chewing it needs to be treated and released as soon as possible.
i suspect the joint has gone ANKYLOSIS that is fused or locked joint.
i would suggest you to get x rays done for your jaws accordingly treatment can be done by an oral surgeon.
Once the joint is flexible and painfree teeth alignment can be done by an orthodotist.
