Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, My name is Jesus Afonso Hernandez. I am 41 years old. I am healthy and I do not smoke and I do not drink alcohol. My email is YYYY@YYYY For the past weeks I have been feeling dizziness , heart pain and confusion (difficulties to concentrate). I went to my doctor and He sent me for a blood test and a ECG . This morning I had the ECG and I can read that: -my rate is 39 bpm. -marked a sinus bradycardia . -The pattern suggest that there is a right ventricular conduction delay and it is an anormal ECG. What do you think about this? What is the treatment? Thank you very much.
Hello Dear and thanks for writing in
In my opinion you are suffering from Chronotropic Inefficiency. Heart rate below 50 in day time and below 40 in night during sleep is a matter of concern and may require immediate Pacemaker Implantation(PPI). This device paces the heart when needed and do not allow the heart rate to do down below the setting usually 60 bpm.
Get hospitalized and go for Temporary Pacemaker Implantation and Holter examination together. After the holter report if any sinus significant pause more than 3 second is noted than you may need PPI.
Other causes are Medications like beta-blockers and Coronary Artery Disease. Consult your Cardiologist as soon as possible.
