Dizziness, Light Headedness, Nose Congestion. Prescribed Nasal Spray. Concerned About Underlying Problem
I was diagnosed with a sinus infection over a month ago and prescribed antibiotics and a nasal spray . I began to feel better, however a week or so later it returned along with the dizziness and heavy eyelids. The doctor then prescribed me anti inflammatories, which again seemed to improve the symptoms but only temporarily. I now am feeling slightly dizzy and Light headed again with a very congested nose. The doctor has now prescribed me a different nasal spray but I am concerned that this is not clearing the underlying problem. Please advise!
Hi Thanks for writing to hcm. You have probably allergic rhinitis. This needs two approaches. One is indeed nasal sprays to decrease allergies. Another thing is get allergy test done to find out the actual triggers so that you can avoid those. Regards. Dr Arun
