Dizziness, Lightheadedness And Shortness Of Breath. Symptoms Of Heart Disease. Suggest?

A few days ago, I begun feeling dizzy (lightheaded) and light on my feet . The day after I begun having short breath and weak hands, the breathing has gotten better now but I recently felt really dizzy and having short breath after walking around the mall for an hour or so. I don t have any chest pains, just a fast heartbeat when i start feeling dizzy. I don t feel any skipped beats, just a few from time to time. I m worried that it might be symptoms of Heart Disease. Other things you should know is that my father is diabetic.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The increased heart beat can result in both the shortness of breath and the dizzy sensation. Normally the heart beat starts at a specific point in the heart and travels along a specific pathway to stimulate the rest of the heart. Abnormal beats can occur if there is (1) increased or abnormal stimulation at this specific point (2) stimulation occurs at another point (3) the ' current or stimulation' travels along a different pathway or the normal pathway is blocked (4) there are structural abnormalities of the heart

Common causes of increased beat would be anemia, high levels of thyroid hormone, acute illness or pain, side effect of medication, caffeine use, other endocrine conditions, electrolyte abnormalities , in some cases the exact cause is not known

You should consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation; he or she may suggest blood tests to check for anemia and electrolyte disorder and and ECG (checks the rhythm, rate and can also identify other abnormalities).

i hope this helps
