Dizziness Over A Year, Hearing Loss, Can Sleep Only On Left Side. Hearing Problem Cured

I have been problems with dizziness for over a year now. Went to an ENT an audiologist checked me out -have lost some hearing in my left ear had problems with the (rocks in my ears don't remember what it is called) seemed to fix the problem but am still dizzy and they have me set for a VNG? testing but not for several months. I can only sleep on my left side-cannot lay on back or right side so can't handle dentist, gyno, colonoscopy etc. etc. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts on what it could be?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding dizziness and loss of hearing , you have difficulty in sleeping as well because you can't sleep on right side.

After careful analysis f your symptoms and their clinical co-relation with possible pathological changes, it appears as you are having problem in your right ear this is the reason that you can't sleep on right side. You are having labyrinthitis right side and here involvement of both vestibule and cochlea is suspected.

Since one month had passed and your symptoms are still persisting therefore a thorough clinical examination and different vestibular functions tests and audiometry (pure tone & impedance audiometry) is necessary to find out the real pathological facts behind your problem and accordingly that may be manage.

Regards.
