Hi,

You have 2 big risk factors for cataract. One is smoking and the other is hypertension. What I recommend is you meet any ophthalmologist to diagnose if it is cataract or glaucoma.

The 2nd possibility that comes to mind is a clot that is causing you visual impairment. The clot will cause impairment and thus cause worsening of vision and cause the syptoms you have descirbed. However this option seems unlikely. In summing, please consult an ophthalmologist. All the best.
