Dizziness While Waking Up. Taking Lisinopril For BP. Any Ideas?
I have noticed extreme dizziness when I wake up each morning. I have to sit on the side of the bed for a few minutes before I can stand up. I have never had this problem before. I take a very low dose of lisinopril (10mg day) for blood pressure. I have read about drinking plenty of water for hydration, tight neck muscles, low blood pressure, etc. Any ideas or suggestions?

Lisinopril is in a group of drugs called ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme )inhibitors.Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall while taking lisinopril.
You must report this to your doctor as you are on blood pressure medication and he must check the blood pressure and adjust the dose accordingly.
