Do I Need An STI Test If My Boyfriend And I Were Both Virgins Before Sex But Had Unprotected Oral Sex?

Hello, I was wondering because I m a bit confused about if I should get tested for STI test or not. My boyfriend and I have had sex (we are both virgins) and have used protection so I don t think there s any risk. However we ve had oral sex with no protection so there s an STI chance, but technically since we are both virgins then there s no risk at all. Could you please tell me if I should get tested or not?

Hi,

If you both are virgins and never undertook any sexual intercourse before, there seems no chance of either of you being infected and hence, there seems no need of your going for STI test.

Though, there may be chances of transmission of infection, if there are sores or ulcers in oral cavity or genital of any partner. But as you both are virgins, there seems no possibility of such transmission also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
